Alienware 17 - 39 Complaints(Really?)

I just saw a website. No offense - www.alienware.pissedconsumer.com

Seriously no offence.

I'm going to get a new alienware 17 r2 a few months later but my friend showed me about this and I was very disappointed seeing this. So, is there really some problems regarding the laptop and the customer care service? If so please suggest a satisfying answer to this post.

I have seen many alienware 17 r2 reviews on the youtube and it is really cool. But please be honest to answer this post

UPDATE : Dell must seriously consider these complaints and look on their affairs to fix it or Dell would loose their customer's trust and intentions towards the company. If continued, I really recommend to move on to msi or razor blade(I heard that the customer service is way better satisfying)

Thank you for taking an interest in the Alienware brand. The Alienware 17 R2 laptop system is a top of the line gaming system. I’m sure you have also seen positive reviews. Unfortunately, not everyone may have a positive experience when dealing with computers, sometimes hardware may fail and this is something that can happen with any computer, no matter the price or quality.

It may also be easier to come across negative reviews when you’re searching online because people tend to post their negative experiences rather than anything else, since they are seeking support. If you have a certain concern with a problem that you read online with this system, let us know and we will try to answer as best we can.

So let me get this straight.

On the whole internet, worldwide, you found 39 complaints?

Wow, if there is only 39 complaints worldwide this laptop must be absolutely fantastic and not act like every other consumer electrical product in the world.

39 complaints from how many thousand of units sold (Really)

I bought an R2 and it struggled the second I hit the start button. It has been sent to Dell once for repair and still will not turn on. I have had several gaming laptops and the R2 has the biggest nightmare of my life.

I bought an alienware x51 at the same time the computer broken down the fourth day of use , it subsequently broke down three more times for the same issue, then alienware replaced it with another one same model, the new one broke down another three times a total of seven times all in all , infact this weekend I'm waiting for the return of that computer to be repaired by dells repair center in texas, I'm very desappointed in the company's response to my request for an up grade to another more advanced model, namely the area 51 but they said no to that , all I know is that if I were upper management and I received a request from a customer that was disappointed not just one time but the seven times for the same issue because my tech support team could not figure out a permanent resolution to this problem, I would give that person a free up grade just to restore the loss of confidence in the company name, and stop that person from maligning the good name of the company to all of his friends and business associates, but what dell must remember is that good will on the company's part relates to increased satisfaction and retained customer loyalty,

Me:

My Alienware will not post.  I’ve tried several things as directed on your site and many user sites and failed to resolve the issue.

The screen remains black, the keyboard lights up, the Alienware logo lights up, the fans (sometimes) come on but does not go past that stage.

I would like to send my computer in for out of warranty repair.  Will you help me with this?

I will PAY them to work on it, but this is the email thread:

Them:

Thank you for your recent contact.

Your system hardware is no longer supported. We recommend checking out with a 3rd party reseller for parts and service for your system.

If you need drivers and applications for your system visit our http://support.dell.com website where you can find the latest drivers for your system.

Thank you for choosing Alienware.

Me:

I know that. I was hoping I could pay you to service it. I was made to believe you would do that.

Them:

We apologize for the inconvenience but he problem is that we don't have parts in stock and the problem that you have its hardware related motherboard or even GPU. because that we can offer your any service as per no pars at all available.

Me:

That makes no sense. If the computer was under warranty you would have to service it. So how do I get my computer worked on my Dell as a paid service?

Them:

I really sorry about that but if for any chance one is under warranty usually we reserve some parts for those that still in warranty but if there is no parts for those in warranty another action will be take but for computers already out of warranty we don't have parts, one more time apologize about it but there is nothing we can do, the system completely end of life

.....I guess I am stuck with the paper weight.

My Alienware laptop proved to be problematic right out of the box.  After multiple repairs, it still never "worked right".  It has always had posting problems, video issues, and various other smaller issues.  Now that it is out of warranty, they won't even work on it if I pay for it.  Furthermore, I cannot find anyone in the Dallas Metro that will work on it.  I have a $4000 paper weight.
