Alienware 17 Volume Issue
Hello,
I am facing a strange behavior with my Alienware 17 Sound. Even at zero volume level I can hear ( although very low ) sounds of music or other system sounds. This becomes audible more while using a headset or headphone.
Did anyone of you have faced the same issue ? I tried re installing the sound driver but it didn't help.
Although not a major showstopper but just want my beast to work perfect after spending a hefty amount of $$$$....

I will have to check this out on my own system when I get home, as I have not noticed this. Do you have the same issue when on mute?

It works perfectly fine on Mute.

I have the same problem on my 17. Also, the static or noise without sound is very noticeable when the audio 'turns on'. It seems that the gain is cranked way too high on the audio chips and no way to adjust. The noise problem is slightly better if the dolby enhancement is turned off.
