Alienware Alpha i7: Windows 10 upgrade trouble with bluetooth mouse and keyboard

Hi, after I upgraded my Alpha to Windows 10 x64, the sytem lost the connection to my bluetooth mouse and keyboard (both Microsoft, ironically).

In the bluetooth config screen, the devices simply do no longer show up.

Unistalling the HID keyboard driver and restarting was recommended in many forums. I did not see a change. Is there anything else I can do?

TIA

Hi,

You probably have the Intel Wireless 3160 Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter or the Intel Wireless 7265 Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter. Try reinstalling the driver for the one in your system and restart the computer.

In fact, my Alpha shipped already with a newer version of the drivers. I left the machine with the keyboard and mouse both pinging for a connection for an hour. Lo and beholdm, the System found them.

After that, I disabled the power management for bluetooth to acoid dropping the connection. Seems it addressed the issue.

Thanks
