Alienware R4 BIOS A11 (need A05 before!)

Hi,

I try to upgrade my BIOS because I have some SSD issues. I found the Alienware R4 BIOS A11 on the drivers section BUT when I try to install it, it says that I need to upgrade in A05 first (A03 currently).

Problem: Bios A05 is no more available on the drivers section :-(

Thanks in advance for your help!

You might want to try this link.
I believe it's the BIOS version you're looking for.

Yes indeed! Thank you.

A03 --> A05 = OK

A05 --> A11 = OK but with a strange upgrade (fans became crazy after the reboot).

I just need to know now why Windows 8.1 doesn't want to boot in AHCI mode insteard of RAID :(

So I just got this really nice Alienware Aurora R4 and I'm trying to upgrade the graphics cards from the HD6870 Crossfire to a new 980 Ti SLI. When I put the 980 Ti's in the computer it doesn't fully post and all signs point to a bios update. I downloaded the new A11 and I thought it would have included the A05 as well, but it doesn't and I hope someone can find me that bios.

Aren't they all here:

and IIRC, if you are really behind, it takes a stepped approach . Here, I think I found it ...

So, try

- A05, A07, A11 . Taking the time to boot to Windows and make sure machine is working between each one.

Yes, one of the last BIOS upgrades was for NVidia cards and how the PCIe buss works with them. Also, check your PCIe power cables.
