Alienware m17x AlienFX failure
This is a bit of a long story, so please bare with me.
I've owned this m17x for a few months, and I recently decided to try using it like a desktop PC. What I mean by that is, I wanted to try using multiple external monitors and keyboard for gaming. In the process of doing so I was warned not to leave the keyboard lights on while the lid of the laptop was closed. So I went into AlienFX and turned off the keyboard lights.
Unfortunately, the multi-monitor idea didn't work out. At the time I was running on Windows 8, and I read that that could be the reason it wasn't working. So, I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows 7. Yet again, the multi-monitors didn't work, and then I was stuck with trying to piece together all the drivers and software that the laptop came with, including AlienFX.
I got the laptop back up and running just fine, except that those lights that I originally turned off (just the keyboard) are no longer lit. I have AlienFX, except that when I run it, this is all I see:
To further complicate things, whenever I click on the AlienFX button, I get the following error message:

Does anyone have any idea what I need to do? I am completely clueless at this point. Thanks for reading this far into my post :)
