Cleaning Alienware Palmrest

Hey Guys,

How do Alienware 17 2013 model users clean their laptops palmrest and keyboard? It get's greasy quite easy and the material from he palmrest is different from any other laptop I've owned. Any ideas/suggestions? I'm worried that normal cleaning products might damage or wear down this material. Please help.

Best regards,

shakangel,

I have the older M18x-R1 and the new Alienware 17-R1. I do not use any cleaning products. I take a soft microfibre hand towel and run it through warm soapy water. Wring it out well. Turn the laptop off. I then wipe down the keys, palmrest, and chassis. I then run the soft microfibre hand towel through warm soapy water. Wring it out so it is almost dry. I then use it to clean the LCD panels. In my daily usage, I do not touch the LCD panel so I am not sure why users are getting fingerprints on the LCDs?
