Chris,
They should fix the version number in the support.dell.com download area. It should only contain the version number ... not a text description.
Also, it's not A01 ... if anything it's A09 .

CPU Pump:
Apparently that is a "Feature". I noticed it in the beta.
I have a non-ALX Aurora. On the old CC releases, DoorController.exe Process was always running (even though it served no purpose). On this release, I noticed it's not running (which is more proper for my model).
I'm also seeing some new "AWCC" Processes.
Now that this CC is a point release, I finally loaded it in my main Windows partition.

I am having issues with events too-
had absolutley no events registering until I saw one of the above posts which said they had some action after 'going dark' then 'going light' from the system tray icon which I did. I added notepad to my applications menu and voila events picked up the program starting etc and it worked.
....However none of my games which run in 32 bit mode seem to be recognised as running applications (am running Win 7 64 bit) and events does not pick up that they have been opened (which is pretty much the sole purpose I want the events to work and part of the reason I went with Alienware- pretty lights, green when I'm playing Crysis and Pink when the missus plays Sims etc etc).
Am I doing something wrong, or has anyone else experienced this?
Is this a bug or is there a fix?
Chris or anybody please help!!?

Further to the above, similar to another user's earlier post, I have now just tried to open notepad and events is now not recognising that it has opened and changed colours etc as though it has timed out or gone to sleep.
I go dark and then light again and it again recognises notepad, but not my games running in 32 bit.....

Rich, yes exactly the same issue. Rich would you recommend rolling back and do you know where I can get the previous version- mucking with this terrifies me as I have heard firmware upgrades/downgrades on the board can fry it and I don't want to have to have it replaced.
Also I have a suspision that this 'going to sleep' of the board issue may extend to the fans/thermal controls... quite worrying.
One of the main selling points of Alienware is the cosemtic aspect, you would think they would really pump resources into getting this right wouldn't you?!
Chris have you read these posts? Does anyone have a fix for the events issues?

Thanks mate. Will have a look but think I will stick to the old rolled back CC for a while til things are ironed out. I want it to just work and sounds like your right- its a choice between new functionality and working events etc- I really want my events to work.
So frustrating, I could have built my own PC with same or better specs for less, but I really liked the pretty lights and the brand. Dell you guys have gotta protect your brand with Alienware, it's your business differentiator- support and forsight with Alienware software etc really has to be a priority. It would be a real shame to see AW disappear through poor managment of your brand. I should be absolutley 100% proud to tell a ll my friends- your potential customers- that I own an awesome Alienware beast of a machine.
I wanna drool every time I see my machine or see someone else drool when they see it, i don't want to have a shaky experience. I wanna know I paid a lot of money, but paid it to have a truly awesome system which has the support there to maintain it with regular updates that just work.
I don't wanna have to mess with it endlessly because there was shoddy product managment.

After updating "Command Center 2.6.1.0" version, all my events just disappeared.
iTunes, Word, Excel, and Movie Player and so far... all gone...
But I have no option other than stick to this new version because it fixed iTunes auto sync problem.
Prior version distorted iTunes auto sync with iPhone, but as soon as I updated to this new version, auto sync works properly.
So as you guys mentioned above, I think that this is the choice game between events and some fixes.
I see so many people encounter this same events problem altogether.
But still, there are no comments about this matter from Dell...
Am I so picky user? Should I stop grumbling about these cosmetic features?
Well... I don't know.
I’ve had problems with sound, liquid cooling unit, and AlienFX now...
I just think that all the responsibilities lie on me because I selected this Alienware product no matter how much it costs.
And my tiny hope still remains… I hope to believe that Dell will listen to these users’ comments and consider how to fix it “someday”.

Well I have rolled back and all is well, events all good. Very dissappointing as Alienfx really is the differentiator for this brand- all components can be bought and buiilt yourself (for less money I might add), so for me it was the pretty lights etc and the fact that it says Alienware that caused me to decide to buy my machine.
This really is a shame as Alienware is such a great brand and is slowly being killed by poor support. Would like to see more resources added to fixing AlienFX and perhaps adding some features (adding morph/strobe to keyboard and mouse maybe?) and also more support with BIOS (would be nice to have a few more OCing options in there such as permanent 21x turbo mode amoungst other things).
Come on Dell, make this brand truly sought after and drool worthy!

Unfortunately, my events seem unresponsive with the upgrade.
