GPU Water Cooling Aurora (ALX) 2009/10

I wanted to get a good look at the MIO board the other day. I also noticed those connectors and the plug looking the same as the CPU cooler.

The solution is there but we have to wait for the OEMs to adopt it. Since the electrical connections are there, there is likely a plan for the rest of the required hardware (unless it was abandoned). GPU cooling support would be activated in Command-Center.

I remember that the high-end HP Blackbird had GPU liquid cooling, but I don't know if it was Asetek. I don't think I've seen GPU liquid cooling on any Dell (XPS / Precision) or AW yet.

Possibly coolit is coming out with a specialized kit like the one inside of alienware or the corsair h50 but for the gpus, Omni A.L.C.

I am sure once it is officially released alienware/dell has a deal with them to start putting thier units into thier system have a feeling there will be a big rad mounted in the top or will have 1x rad for the cpu only then a duel rad bolted to the top of the case for the gpus. I prefer the Corsair h50 cpu cooler over coolits, 1 its more durable, and of better construction than what coolit offers. But alienware/dell and coolit have had a deal going on for some time but that is what your asking about the Omni A.L.C.for the gpus and im sure once its ready alienware will be putting them into thier machines and of course overcharging you for it.

Alienware/dell used to use the Coolit Freezone Elite, most companys have adopted the asetek oem or have designed thier own that is more efficient. Its been a race back and forth of who can make the cheapest most affordable liquid cooler for oems, for gpus as it stands right now coolit holds the edge on its new universal mount for gpus.

I don't know about you guys, but when I look at Alienware Aurora, Area-51, HP Blackbird, Corsair H50 ... it is obviously Asetek technology.

Plus, on the Asetek website, they advertise all the different Dell XPS, older Alienwares, and HPs they have been installed in.

The Coolit products might be fine, but I don't see a connection between them and any of the above companies current offerings.

Yes it all is but corsair is the only one that offers a consumer ver of the product with a few modifications to make it more user friendly, easier more efficient install and longer lasting over the oems that are mass produced on a higher scale., the freezone elite was taken out due to its cost as well as a bad firmware release that caused the units to emit mass amounts of condensation on people who lived in warmer humid clients that did not get fixed untill late last year resulting in dell/alienware to pull the plug as well as thier poor build quality aka tubes breaking/cracking. As it stands right now coolit will be offering a universal gpu mounting cooler, easier install than the Asetek tech its a snap on and go very easy for system builders, there are articles on the net about oem builders that will be adopting this unit. Its very likly alienware/dell will be adopting the unit. They do not have to have diffrent loop system for it for other video cards since coolit has patented the design it will leave asetek out in the cold.  The coolit system is more assemble friendly for gpus, if Asetek does not come up with thier own single loop solution that is universal for ati and nvidia they will be left out of the market on this one.

Just found and ran the F12 Onboard Diags. There is a section for MIO diags. In addition to the common ones, there are entries for the GPU pumps and sensors.
