I have never had a need for it. If you have important data that you don't want to lose it's a good idea to back it up on an external drive. None of my machines have the partition anymore.

But I don't have the partition left and the tool must have a recovery partition to be able to create the bootable usb or cd. What I need is a factory reset software or a link to download it

You can just do a fresh installation of Windows 10 using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool. You don't need a recovery partition. It will format your drive though. I've always found that a fresh Windows installation from Microsoft is the way to go.

You are right, but the fresh windows installation doesn't give the fabric mode taste in my opinion... otherwise I have already reinstalled windows twice... anywhere to download this media you think?

@liailsa yes you are right but when I choose this computer( in the recovery tool ) it gives error and tells there is no OS image defined... this tells me that the recovery partition is not there anymore...

I've never used the Recovery Tool. I just go straight to Microsoft. It seems your recovery option is now gone so you may have to go to Microsoft.

Hello, Here is the latest version of Command Center for the 18
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=7yt4t&oscode=wt64a&productcode=alienware-18
I have had trouble installing this version on an 18 before but I found the previous version installed fine.
If you have trouble with version 3.6 then try 3.5 below
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=2hcgc
There is no need to go back to Win7. These work fine with Win10
