Hi @rlpalbion welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
Not all Dell Products have a Service Tag, and seemingly not all first Tier responders have this clarification included in their training. Please click on @DELL-Cares to send Private Message requesting intervention and registration of your Dell Warranty for AW510H. This is a known problem and other users are also having identical problem with their AW510H Dell Product and its Warranty.
Most Dell-branded devices such as keyboard, mouse, external hard drive, speakers, etc. do not have a Service Tag or Express Service Code. Such devices must be identified using the model number or name of the device. The label containing the device name and model number is usually located on the bottom of the device. The model number and name is also located on the original packaging of the device.
If you purchased through Dell.com, the product should be in your order history. The agent can look up your account to verify. If you have not purchased from Dell, you can still manually enter your Dell products under your account->devices. This helps out consideralbly when working with the customer service.
Yes, went through the Dell order history. This order number was also provided on several occasions, along with pictures of the headset, etc. and yet I was transferred from dept. to dept. and then ultimately disconnected with no return phone call having my contact information.
Nope. Same run around. Referred back to calling Dell Customer Support to continue with the same rabbit hole to never getting any support. Apparently breaking after a month of use is "normal wear and tear" of product.
