X51 R3, not booting up, dim white light

Hi!

I was using my computer last night, and all of a sudden it shut off. When I tried turning the computer back on, I only heard the low buzz of a fan and the power button light dimly lit up white. The PSU still indicated it received power, as the green light still came on.

I tried turning the computer on after unplugging and replugging the power supply to it and doing several power drains (a few times for 30 seconds, and once over 2 days) all to no avail. The computer is super old and was handed down to me from someone who did not previously have a warranty covering it, so I can't send it back in.

I personally think it has something to do with either the motherboard or the PSU. What I speculate happened is a power spike damaged my computer, as I did not have it hooked up to a surge protector at the time it crashed.

Thoughts?
