m15 R3, update is stuck at 10% - how to fix this?

After I got my laptop replaced for hot keyboard issue, now its update is stuck at 10% it stops there.

I reinstalled the update application and reboot several times but no help.

How can I fix this?

I tried to reinstall all Alienware applications but I cannot uninstall the SupportAssist Remediation both in normal and safe mode. (I already uninstalled all the others)

Now I reset my Windows 10, and this is more than third reset I've done today for hours after getting this replaced laptop. At the first open, the Windows 10 installation got stuck at 'Let's see what's new from Windows 10' screen.

I’d recommend just doing an ePSA to check if the storage media is ok since it freezes by itself.

Next I would do a VERY clean installation of windows where you use a USB instead of the janky Fresh start settings.

I'm running into the same issues. I'll run your suggestion and let you know the result of it. Following in case a solution is posted.

Thanks!

It has to be the Application as the storage media is ok.

I’d recommend just reinstalling it with admin privileges.

Ran the ePSA, no errors came up. Reinstalled the updater as admin, still hangs up at 10%.

I’m sorry if I’m stupid but what was not installing again?

the only thing I could think of is a clean install of windows.

In my case, I did repeat that 'clean' installation of Windows 10 several times, but finally it failed.

Then I just think it’s a software issue.

update all your drivers and then make sure windows update is at the latest version.

It's the Alienware update software that is hanging up at 10%. I updated my my drivers and software on a weekly basis and I'm up to date. Still need help getting passed this 10% issue.

Just try a clean install or try installing the update in safe mode.

My issue is on the Alienware update, not windows. I have do have the latest windows update, all my drivers are up to date and even did a clean install on the Alienware update application. It still hangs up at 10%. Has anyone found a fix yet for it?

All I can suggest to you is to install the application with clean boot enabled.

then I’d recommend checking if safe mode makes a difference too.
