Avamar Installation GUI - Contact information
Hello,
since Avamar version 7, I have to edit the customer information in the avinstaller GUI.
Does anyone know where these settings are saved in the avamar system.
In this case I want to change the customer contact email adress I entered while the installation to a new one.

I have found the information I searched for.
It is in the Avamar Administartor under Help --> View/Edit Contact.
There you can change these settings. The only one wich you can not change is the Site-ID.

I'd suggest you to contact EMC Avamar support team and they will help you on this.

Hello Druehl,
As far I am aware, we can not change this information from Avamar GUI or Enterprise Manager. Please contact to EMC support to get help on this.

Hello,
Glad to hear that your issue is resolved.
Can you please share screen shot if possible, from where did you change this info ?
I can not see such option under Avamar Administrator > Help .

Pawan

Hello,
here is a screenshot.
Perhaps it is a new feature in version 7.0.1-61 which I have installed.

Druehl,
Do you need to change the siteid for the customer, or is it correct at this point?

Depending on what specifically needs to be done, customer Site ID and contact information can be updated by one of the following teams
support@emc.com
cshelpdesk@emc.com
Note that these teams aren't 'Avamar support'. If you experience any difficulty I would suggest involving your account manager as they are pretty knowledgeable about these things.

/usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_data/customerContactInfo.xml
/usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_data/
cp -p customerContactInfo.xm x_customerContactInfo.xml-back
dpnctl stop MCS
dpnctl start MCS
