Avamar error code 170?

Can anyone tell me what an exit code of 170 means?

I've got 2 Celerra shares that I am backing up via NDMP and started last night these 2 shares are giving a completion with error code 10020 and when I looked into the log I see that they both exited with code 170.  Now I've tried re-running these backups but I get the same results.  All of my other shares are backing up fine and without errors only just these 2.

Any help, ideas, or suggestions are appreciated.

Update: I had to manually force a ndmp level 0 dump on those 2 shares and then I was able to do incrementals again. It seems like there were 1 or 2 files that Avamar seems to think it's there but it's not and Avamar does seems to know what to do at that point and just errors out.  I saw errors like "unable to find a matching entry in prevlist for historytable ('50345:Poutre Eval '09-'10.rtf' -> '')"

Based then information you provided, the issue seems related one avamar known issue ( bug 20469) which could refer to avamar 5.0 release note.

20469 Corrected an issue where Celerra backups failed with the error "avtar Error <7779>: Unable to find a matching entry in prevlist for historytable ('

' -> '')"

The issue was fixed on Client Version 5.0.106-28, so I suggest you could check your avamar client version if less then version 5.0.106-28, please upgrade your client and re-try that.  Hope that could resolve your problem.

Would you please let me know the version for NDMP accelerator and also what's the type for NDMP device?

Version 5.0.2-41 and it's a EMC Celerra NS20 version 5.6.48-7.
