Backing up Data Domain to tape library
Hello,
In a test environment I'm backing up Windows clients to a DD2200 with Avamar 7.3 (Virtual). I also have a virtual edition of Networker 9.0.1 attach to a FC tape library (fun to setup in ESX!). The tape library is seen in Networker Administrator under devices. I've hit a wall trying to figure out how to "re-hydrate" my Avamar backups from the Data Domain and write them to tape. Is there a document on how to do this somewhere?
TIA

Yes, its called ADMe and available at this link.

From my experience the use of FC tape drives through ESX is quite problematic, yes it can be configured but when one
tries to actually use it strange things occur, drives go disabled, disappear etc. But if you can make it work then good for you.

Yeah, ended up ditching the VM. Using a physical server for Networker has helped out tremendously.
