Can I convert RAIN grid to single nodes ?
Hi,
One of my customer would like to convert his RAIN grid to multiple singles nodes to make ROBO configuration.
Is it possible to make by myself, without returning the grid to EMC ?

Hi, the avamar support answered me:
- Yes, we can ;-)
- The utility node and the accelerator node are lost (no storage)
- The spare need an extra license to be used
- All the data will be lost, except if we use a "spare" grid to replicate data, and replicate from it to single nodes

Cedric, you can re-kickstart all of the nodes, but you will lose all of the backup data on the grid. You might also need to verify and reconfigure the licensing for each of these nodes.
