Blade Chassis fans

We have a new M1000e blade chassis in house - the first one for this location. I currently have two blades in the chassis. When I power one of the blades on, the fans go to max speed and it wants to try to blow the rack across the room. It only happens when this blade is on and it doesn't matter what the other one is doing. The CMC reports all green and I see no errors but this result can't be right. It's like a jet engine is taking off.
