CX700 control station can't see /dev/sd*

All,

I am aware I may be beating a dead horse here, but we have an old CX700 that we're using to make (extra) backups onto - the deal was that if it stays alive, great - if not, not a huge deal. Inconvenient, but non-critical.

So - after a reboot, my control station cannot seem to locate any of the /dev/sd* devices, and the only devices visible are the local /dev/hda* devices. When I try to do 'service nas start' it says nothing, and doing 'service nas stop' it fails. Trying to manually run /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/s95nas fails with a couple of LUNs reported as 'too small', but upon closer inspection appear to not be there at all (i.e. a size of ' ' is less than ' '.

Any suggestions as to what I could look for? Thanks!

Hi,

Please go ahead and reboot the control station ,this may resolve the issue.

/sbin/shutdown -r -f

This will reboot the control station and starts journal recovery on CS ,so it may help mount the /nas volumes.

Thanks

Jyothi
