CIFS Usermapper Properties

We have a NS702 and a NS80.  Recently we had trouble with the NS80 recognizing the domain but that has been fixed.  We are in a multiprotocol environment (windows, Linux, UNIX).  The local access issues have been resolved but we are still having issues with users from outside domain trying to access the system (which they could before).  Looking at the NS702 I noticed the CIFS Usermapper Properties are set for none.  On the NS80 the CIFS Usermapper Properties are set for primary.  I need to make sure the windows accounts are mapping to the Linux/Unix accounts.  We do have a NIS server.

If you haven't done so, have a look at the document "Using Usermapper on Celerra", available on EMC Support.  This explains how the Celerra uses the UserMapper to map a local UNIX UID to a Windows domain ID.  If you have NIS in your environment, you'll want to use the UNIX UIDs generated by NIS as "authoritative" for your environment.  Have a look at the document and pose your questions!
