CIFS performance issues

Hi.  We are currently experiencing issues with intermittent connectivity at the user end to all CIFS shares.  The Celerra seems to be running without issues, although we are experiencing very peaky CIFS Average Call Time spikes.  The NFS shares are all working fine and without issue.

In response to another matter we did reboot the Data Movers last night and we have had these issues ever since.  We have this open as a Severity 1 for the last 5 hours but have not had anything back from EMC support as of yet - just a promise that they are on it.  If anyone has anything that could shed some light on this that would be great.  Even if EMC support are required to actually fix the problem anything that I could tell Management besides we have an issue and are no further forward would be great.!!!!

Thanks in advance

Are you currently running on the failover datamover or did you failback to the primary dm?

You can run "nas_server -l" and "/nas/sbin/getreason" to see what state you are currently in.

Do the NFS and CIFS traffic run across the same physical interfaces on the datamovers?
