Removing Luns from Celerra NS-120
Hello,
I have the following configuration
NS-120, Celerra 5.6
Two RAID 5 (6+1) Groups (SATA) connected to Celerra:
RG 8 - LUN 17(d15), LUN 19(d16)
RG 9 – LUN 16(d13), LUN 18(d14)
AVM is used
One storage pool - clarata_archive
Celerra made two stripes – v95(d16+d14), v99(d13+d15)
There are5 file systems on Celerra. I found one suitable file system, which uses only two disk volumes and I can put there all the files from other file systems.
Let’s call it – fs1 (uses v95 stripe only (d16 and d14 disk volumes accordingly))
I want to remove one RG from celerra and use it for other purposes.
Do I have a correct plan on doing it
1. Move all data to fs1 file system and share it under the same names
2. Delete empty file systems
3. Shrink storage pool, using command: nas_pool –shrink clarata_archive –volumes v99
4. Remove disk volume(d13,d15) from Celerra: nas_disk -delete d13 –perm; nas_disk -delete d15 –perm
5. Remove LUN16 and LUN17 from Celerra storage group on Clariion side
6. Migrate LUN18 to LUN17 location on Clariion from Navisphere
And that’s it, now I shoud have RG9 at my disposal
Do I missing something?

The stepd that you have performed should remove the disk from Celerra. You can also refer to EMC Documentor further details .
"Managing EMC Celerra Volumes and File Systems with Automatic Volume Management"
or You can check
emc85986 as it explain steps to Remove disks from Celerra

Yes there restrictions with LUN migration on LUNs used by the data mover
If the size is exactly the same and disk and Raid type is the same you should be ok on a NS
On VNX we might block it

Actually I am concerned about step #6. Will Celerra handle migartion of LUN well?

they don't have to be the same raid type, if you are talking about migrating data that is used for block ..you can use LUN Migrator feature and migrate to any raid type as long as target is at least the same size or larger.

do not use LUN MIgrator with LUNs being used by Celerra, consult with support first.

I need to migrate LUN which is used by Celerra, and now is in storage pool on Celerra.
And now I am curious what happend if I migrate LUN to other Raid type / other LUN size
Will datamover panic or what?
