TCP: 3: Too many connections in port 139's listen queue

Seeing this error a lot in the server_log.  Failed over the datamover and failed it back and still getting the error *right* after that.

We have tweaked the LanmanServer.IdleUserAutoLogoff setting to 720 but has not helped.

What I don't understand is why we are getting this error *right* after the reboot.  It should have cleared all the connections?

Thanks!

is this a NT4 domain?

You are getting these messages, because

"The Data Mover, by default, allows a queue of 100 outstanding or backlogged  logon requests. Once this queue is filled, the Data Mover starts recording the  "too many connections" messages in the server_log. Typically this message occurs  when a large number of users are attempting to connect to the Data Mover, or  refresh their connections with the Data Mover, simultaneously. The Data Mover  cannot process the logon requests quickly enough which results in these  messages.

The cause for the slow logon requests needs to be investigated. A bad or  overloaded Domain Controller can cause these problems."

After a reboot all clients are reconnecting ....

There is another workaround for this issue.

what is the work around for this issue?  I am having this issue right now. We did a datamover failover and back as well but to no avail.
