iSCSI Lun from Clariion-part of NS-20?

I think I got a partial answer by searching the forum but as a direct question:

Can I somehow use iscsi directly on the CX3-10-part of an NS-20?

Purpose? MirroView/A.

Anders

yes, if you have a FC and NaviSphere license and the CX3-10 has an ISCSI port

right now you should get permission to do so via RPQ - that will be lifted soon

I'm awaiting a quote on converting the NS-20 to NS-20FC right now. Does the NS-20FC have an ISCSI port? The SP's that are in the non-FC version do not seem to have one.

RPQ.. Request Price Quote?

ok, regular CX4 come with iSCSI ports already pre-installed, regardless whether you ordered them or not, for NS-120 you have to order them separately. I am looking at my NS-120 and it does not have any iSCSI ports installed, but those flex modules can be purchased i am sure.

Seems to be 3 different SP versions for that particular Clariion.

Regular CX3-10c has 4 FC and 2 ISCSI

NS-20-CX3 has 2 FC

NS-20FC-CX3 has 6 FC

As far as I understand it, the only way I could replicate Clariion luns over ip from an NS-20FC would mean RecoverPoint (ouch!).

you're right - NS20FC doesnt have Clariion ISCSI ports and from what I remember the CX3-10 can have either FC or ISCSI ports but not both

I was thinking NS-120 - the CX4 line is more modular and you can have both there
