Per Primus emc21594

The following conditions WILL result in Data Mover failover if the Celerra has been properly configured:

  • Failure of both internal Ethernets
  • Data Mover internal Power failure
  • Manually failover with the server_standby command
  • Data Mover panic
  • Loss of SCSI connection
  • Loss of Fibre connection
  • Memory error

The following conditions WILL NOT result if Data Mover failover

  • Halting of a Data Mover
  • Manual reboot of the Data Mover
  • Loss of external NIC connection
  • Pulling Data Mover physically from slot or reseating Data Mover
