Cloud Tiering Device and Microsoft Search Server
Hello,
We have a Microsoft Search Server 2010 server and Cloud Tiering Device that moves data to secondary storage. When the file is archived the attribute is set to offline. Is it possible to configure Microsoft Search Server to index these items? I was also wondering if there is a connector for search server to utilize symbolic links or alternate data streams for these files to retrieve the data from the backend?

You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. Then search for and select: "Cloud Tiering Device" which would be the most relevant for this question.
