Insufficient Resources

Hi,

I plan to perform the upgrade for one of my SAN switches from 4.2(7a) to 5.0(4d).Anyhow from the below compatibility check it seems that it will be a disruptive upgrade due to insufficient resources.

From the Cisco release notes;

If there is not enough memory in the system to load the new images, the upgrade will be made disruptive due to insufficient resources and the user will be notified in the compatibility table.

Compatibility check is done:

Module  bootable          Impact  Install-type  Reason

------  --------  --------------  ------------  ------

     1       yes      disruptive         reset  insufficient resources

My question is there any CLI to clear the insufficient resources before proceed with the upgrade?

Thanks,

Mudzaffar

Hopefully you would have got solution for the same from EMC till now. Let us know what solution was given.

Generally linecard ramdisk space should be checked before the upgrade in such cases.

From cli you can check spaces by using 'dir' comand.

cw9513pa# dir ?
