Alienware warranty

I’m looking on buying another Alienware 15 and wanted to check here 1st on a warranty issue.
The Alienware 15 was purchased from dell direct (July 3rd 2018 also he has the original pdf receipt) when I checked the service tag it’s showing warranty finished on July 12 2019, which is 1 year and not 2yr 

So the question is can I get the warranty sorted out if I bought and began the change of ownership?
