I ordered my XPS 8700 SEon october 20th with expected delivery on nov. 1st.
I was informed there was an inventory problem on one item and I would be informed when my machine was ready to be shipped.
I tried 3 times to get some info on the length of the delay. No success.
Will it be 3 days, a week, three weeks, a month ????
I am sure DELL has the info. And the fact that it is not disclosing it is far from reassuring.
So I am considering canceling the order even though the machine specs are pretty good and even though DELL used to be a very reliable company.
Will think it over a couple of days then take action.
I badly need to change my present machine...!!!
Part shortages occur from time to time causing a delay in the shipment of the unit.
I can't tell you how long it will take for whatever part your system needs to arrive, but it should be in a timely manner.
If you don't hear anything new in five business days please post back in this thread and I will see what I can find out about this?
