Unable to upgrade to 3.9.0.55

Dell OpenManage Enterprise 3.8.4.7 keeps failing to upgrade to 3.9.0.55
Reverting changes every time and restoring back to Version 3.8.4 (Build 7)
Please advise.

Hi, I have resolved the issue with the upgrade by rebuilding the OME appliance and re-creating all credentials and adding back the devices- not too happy as i had to spend some time with that., but it's all good now.

Hi,

please check the following Guide

Upgrade from 3.7 and later to 3.9

If this does not work please try to remove OME and do a fresh install.

Did you have any further questions?

Hi Martin,

Thanks for coming back to us, i did follow the steps, even i have uninstalled all plugins, and i am getting a message now that they are incompatible with the version, even when upgrade of OME has failed.

I really don't want to setup again as fresh as we have so many devices connected with different type of credentials etc.

Hello @YaskoT,

Which steps did you follow? Did you used the online or offline update method? As my colleague @Dell-Martin S mentioned if the update process is failing even after following the instructions, maybe only a fresh install is possible.

However, please, make sure to follow the steps. Many situations like this can be solved easily just by following the steps in this guide.

Regards.

Hi Diego,

I did follow both online and offline ways, both failed, tried many times for the last few months.

(otherwise the system works fine and it's connected to CloudIQ)

Is there any way to expert/import the config of the system, if the fresh install is the only option?

Thanks.

Hi,

I found external modules for this on 3rd Party websites.

You could try this at your own risk.
