How to cancel a system update task?

Hi there,

I'm using OME 1.3 (I know, I know...) and ran a system update task that I want to cancel. Dumb question: how do I cancel a task? I found that by going:

"Manage" tab -> System Update -> "Summary" tab -> "System Update Tasks" pane -> right-clicking on the task in question and choosing "delete" that the task was removed from the list, but does that actually cancel the task at whatever stage it was at, or does it just remove the task from the list? I definitely don't want that task to continue. I intended to run four critical iDRAQ updates on four servers and the next thing I know, OME is copying 198 packages... ummm yikes. I stopped all five DSM services, shut down the OME (virtual) server and disconnected the virtual NIC from the network, then started everything back up minus the network connection and "deleted" the update task as I described above; I'm hoping this killed the task permanently.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,

Chad

Hi Chad, thanks for the query.

Once you've deleted the task, it will not execute any further.
