Trouble upgrading from OME 1.1 to 2.1
I took over this project from another person who left the company. We currently have OME 1.1 up and running. I want to upgrade to 2.1 but it tells me that "Upgrade from Dell ITAssistant is not possible". I'm assuming that the previous guy started on ITAssistant and then upgraded to OME. Is there a way to get past this without just starting over?

Hi,
Usually OME upgrades to current releases are supported from previous two releases (n-1, n-2 where n is current release). So officially OME 2.1 upgrades are supported from OME 2.0/2.0.1 releases.
Having said this, you can try the following:
1. [Very Important] Take the backup of the OMEssentials database so that you can re-instate your running OME 1.1 in case anything goes wrong during upgrade.
2. Try upgrading to intermediate OME version for ex. OME 1.1->OME 1.3->OME 2.1.
(After upgrading to OME 1.3 successfully, make sure you run the discovery on all ranges before upgrading to OME 2.1)
