DELL T7600 hard drive troubles

Hi,

I recently acquired a t7600 on which a colleague at work installed Win 7 and Fedora 16 with a grub bot loader.

I recently decided, due to software and storage issues that i would switch to an all Win 7 OS.

In attempting to do so i have gotten myself in a complete mess due to the raid config.

All i wish to do is install a clean Win OS on an sad drive in HDD Bay 0 of machine.

What i would expect from past experiences (a long time past) is to put the drive in, insert a Win 7 disk, boot from it and install clean.

However at present no drive shows up in either the windows installer or in the bios screen.

Any ideas on how to make a drive visible for install using the t7600 setup.

I am also worried that i may have changed some of the raid config settings so they may now be wrong.

Any help would be amazing

thanks

Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Boot to BIOS. Change / confirm Boot Sequence is set to Legacy.
2. Remove all drives with the exception of Drive 0:
3. Download the SAS driver DRVR_SAS_Dell_PERC8-1DV4H_Win7_X64_WHQL_setup_ZPE
from
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/2684/DriverDetails?driverId=1DV4H&fileId=2991506017#
4. Start the Windows installation as usual. Due to the PERC controller card,
Windows will not see any drives. Add the driver from above link and install
to Drive 0.
5. Once the installation finished, reconnect the remaining drives and reboot
the system.

That should do it.
