HI ALL,
Before I leap into buying a newer Dell I was wondering if someone would take a look at my existing XPS 400 Specs and tell me if it would benefit me much to upgrade. Only trouble I've had with this one is I think the Creative Sound card is bad and I use the integrated sound. This one is almost 3 years old.
Is there a much faster processor out there than mine and ect are the main questions I have.
Thanks ahead everyone!
My Specs "In a Nutshell": I had to chop it some to get it to fit.

stefanrp97,
my bad if the proc info wasn't on there. I was chopping that post like crazy to get it down to 20,000 characters.
Also, I'm really not trying to make this pc last its kind of a thing where I've always tried to update my Desktop around every three years, but I'm not sure if tech is still advancing at the rate it has was.
Sometimes I get the feeling this XPS 400 has trouble handling a fast DSL connection using Explorer or Firefox (hangs allot) not Hangs up like a reboot hang. Maybe the word to use is stalls, like when I'm loading or using back or forwards or have multiple pages open and that kind of stuff. It could be the DSL I know but I just need peoples input on whether or not my proc/ram and so on is up to date. I don't have a problem buying another Dell Desk. It's just that I want to make sure I need another one.
Thanks :smileyhappy: for the info on the graphics bard btw, it will help me out no matter which way I go.
Here's more info on my XPS.
Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz 2.79GHz 1.00GB of RAM Physical Address Extension.
Thanks ahead of time again everyone.
Wade...
