Dell 9150 - 7800GTX vid on 2005FPW monitor - When new Dell video driver update??

Dell driver ver 77.74 happily supports maximum screen resolution for that paritcular Dell screen i.e 1680 x 1050.

 

Nvidia 91.31 WQHL -  Can't get that maximum native screen resolution with these drivers.  Nothing but Dell drivers will do apparently.  Fine, Dell will you just update the bloody things please.

 

Dell drivers for 7900 or 7300 series card will not work for the 7800 card. Resolution rates less than maximum just don't look right on this Dell screen so I'm stuck using older drivers. (and yes there is a reason I want newer drivers that work.  Having probs with HL2 Episode 1).

 

Hmm... If I haven't thought of some workaround please feel free to add your 2 cents worth.
