Dell OptiPlex 980 - Video Driver for supported card

Hello, I have a Dell OptiPlex 980 running Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

I needed a new video card and based on the compatible hardware list I purchase a VisionTek AMD Radeon X1300 (Manufacturer Part# : 900106)
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/category.aspx?category_id=7602&c=us&l=en&s=soho&cs=ussoho1&mfgpid=206039&chassisid=8877

We are not able to properly install the video card on the computer. It says it has the incorrect drivers. We used drivers included with the video card and others downloaded from the Web.

I found the CAB file with the Windows 7 Drivers at
http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/2078.optiplex-980-windows-7-driver-cab.aspx

But inside the packages it only has the drivers for AMD Radeon HD3450.

Can you please confirm where I can get the Windows 7 Pro x64 drivers for the AMD Radeon x1300 on a Dell OptiPlex 980?

Thanks, much appreciated

If I were you I would just send the card back to Dell and get your money back.  Just tell them it does not work.  The X1300 is an extremely old card and way over priced because it is not manufactured anymore.  The HD 3450 is a much better card even though it is very old now and I have seen it sell for only $20.  You really don't want to get this card running based on what you paid for it.

If buying a video card today, you would be much better off with the HD 5450 or the better HD 6450.  Do not use Dell's compatibility list for video card upgrades as they will only show very old cards the are overpriced for an older system when in fact newer cards will work just fine.  They simply never tested them because they were not available at the time.   I use an HD 6450 in an older OptiPlex GX 280 and it runs just fine and is superior to the old X1300 in every way.  I paid $32 for it.
