Dell dimension C521 Processor compatibility
So I recently bought a processor, but now I don't think it's even compatible.
Processor: AMD Opteron 2216 2.4GHz Dual-Core Socket F OSA2216GAA6CX CPU Processor
Desktop: Dell Dimension C521
Can someone tell me if it is or not?

Dell Dimension C521 has been tested and is compatible with following processor family only.
Please let me know if this helps.

The AMD Opteron 2216 2.4GHz Dual-Core Socket F OSA2216GAA6CX CPU Processor is not compatible with the Dimension C521.

Prior to installing processor, check that there is BIOS version 1.0.4, or higher installed, when support for faster processors was added.

Athlon 64x2 6000+ is a good choice!
