Hi-

1)      I have some Boston digital speakers that I used with an older Dell, worked with a hard wired digital output. Speaker system has no analog capability.

What I see on the back of the 8700 is a 6 connector bus that appears to be analog only.

The single output from the flat panel appears to be analog as well.

Can you tell me how to rout a digital signal to the Boston speakers?

2)      Computer has Realtec HD Audio and NVidia High Def Audio – How do I tell which utility is

monitoring the signal?   Is there a simplified schematic or block diagram that I can use to find

my way through the choices? This does not seem to be discussed in the literature at all.

3)      Does the Realtec and/or Nvidia utilities mean these are in addition to Intel? If so, how do you access Intel graphics and audio?

Any help would be appreciated.
