Dimension 9200 SATA CD drive drivers

I've had to replace the HD on my Dimension 9200 machine but can't build the OS using the XP disk because the system doesn't recognise the SATA CD drive.  Does anyone know what drivers I can install?

Enter "Setup" F2 at Dell screen and highlight "SATA Operation", there you "Turn OFF" Raid. Save settings. XP should install.

If you have a "Floppy Drive" download the drivers below and "Extract" them on to a Floppy Disc and install at the F6 screen at the beginning of XP install. If you

use this method do not change the Bios setting mentioned above.

Subject: System Hard DriveSystem Hard Drive

DELL Dimension XPS Gen-3 Desktop

I am trying to reconnect my systems internal Hard Drive and get the following messages:

1.) Computer does not turn on, or is stuck on the Microsoft/DELL logo screen

2.) On a black screen I get:

  • Dell system Dimension XPS Series

  • BIOS version A07

  • Drive 0 not found: Serial ATA, SATA-0

  • Drive 1 not found: Serial ATA, SATA-1

  • Intel (R) Application Accelerator RAID option ROM v.4.0.0.6211

  • ----------------

  • Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 key to run the setup utility

I've tried the post below but cannot locate "Turn OFF" Raid

Hi Zzm3dq,

Go into the BIOS and turn on the port where your hard drive is connected. It should be connected to SATA port 0, but you should know which port you plugged it into.

By the way, you've posted in a thread marked solved, and your question really belongs in the disk drives forum anyway.
