Dimension B110 NTLDR is Missing
In preparation for moving to a new machine, I was cleaning up my Dimension B110 and (using the add/delete programs function) must have deleted something critical. Now my computer won't boot, it hangs with the message
"NTLDR is Missing
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart."
Nothing happens when I do that. When I try to go to "Setup" or "Boot Menu" (F2 and F12) during startup, nothing happens. I have a winXP boot disk but the B110 doesn't seem to be able to boot from a CD. It is not the original boot disk (hey, I bought this computer in 2000 and it has worked like a champ for 13 years!
How do I fix this and regain access to my hard drive?
Thank you for your help!

You need a CD with the same XP version that is installed.
Note, all Microsoft support for XP ends in April 2014.
For the NTLDR is missing error in XP. Try the procedure HERE
The above should work, if not, run Diagnostic's extended test on the hard drive and prepare for a clean reinstall of XP.

The B110 is a mid-decade model, so it's not quite that old. If you can't fix your XP, you might consider Windows 7, which can sometimes can be had on sale for under $80.
