Dimension E520 - Processor upgrade
I bought this machine in April 2007. Processor is Intel 2 Duo E4300 (1.80GHZ, 800 MHZ.2MB Cache). I wish to update this particular Processor & would like a Quad Core.
Is there any easy way of finding out if a Q6600 would fit/work. It seems to fit the bill. If not, Suggestions please.
In addition, is there an easy way to identify the motherboard. I have my service tag details but cannot seem to find the relevant information

Sorry, the e520 does not support Core 2 Quad processors, only P-4, Pentium D, Core 2 Duo and Celeron processors.
