Dimension E520 that is not working
I have a friends Dimesion E520 that is a couple years old out of warranty, and something happened to the
electric in their house, (possibly a power outage or Thunderstorm) I told them I would look at it and see what I can
see, about it. The LED in the middle of the System board, is orange/yelllow, and LED at the power button
flashes when you try to boot it but nothing else happens. I don't see any Status lights at all.
Can anyone suggest. I think I have had systems before that had a power supply or motherboard die, that
still had some LED's lit. If I recal, a good power supply lights the Power LED on the board in green.
Can any one help me confirm what I am seeing and what I need to do to fix it?

Is the power switch LED, blinking green, or blinking amber?
Are any of the four Diagnostic Lights on the front panel lite?
The Diagnostic Codes are HERE.
The LED on the motherboard is the 'Stand By Power Light' [aka 'flea power'] and indicates the motherboard has 'some' power is reaching it, not an indication that the power supply has not failed.
