Do I need Memory Cover Shroud for 16 core T7600 desktop?
I frankesteined two T7600 desktops so one now has two cpus and 128 gb ram. Though I read dell issued systems with 2 x CPUs with Memory Cover Shrouds to protect the ram from heat.
Are these really necessary? As I am trying to decide to buy them though they cost $150!! so I really need to know if I need them. What do people think?

Thank you for reaching out to us.
The memory shroud is used to reduce noise and heating in the system if you are going to use both the CPU's in the system we would suggest you to buy them because the system will be heating up a lot and that can cause damage to the memory inside the computer .
Hence please buy the shrouds if you think you should have a less noisy and heating issues can be avoided.
