Gx 620 tower 8Gb Ram

hey guy i have a gx620 which has a D930 processor, and 4gb ram at 2x2gb sticks and bios v A11 i tried installing 8gb 4x2gb sticks of ram and the bios sees it and it goes to the os start screen but then freezes. any help would love to have 8gb in my machine???

The bios must be updated, the CPU must support EMT64, and the OS must be 64 bit to support 8 gigs.

AND THEN the ram must be Low density INTEL Chip-set compatible ram.

The density of a memory module is basically determined by the DRAM chips that make up the memory module.  For example a 1GB DDR2 module like the one in your system can be made up of 4x 2 Gb (gigabit) chips or 16x 512Mb (megabit) chips.  The fewer chips on the module, the higher the density.  This is because the individual DRAM chips have a higher density to make up the full megabyte value of the actual memory module.

AMD or NVIDIA chipset systems will accept either type without any issues. Intel chipsets have issues and need lower density 16/32 chip versions of the 1GB modules.

I think the chipset in the 520/620 is limited to 4 Gigs max.

i have the most up to date bios version, my processor is a pentium D930 which does support emt64 and im using win7 64bit as for low density im not sure , and how would i find out if my ram is low density ???
