Have to press F1 on boot up

I tried to install w2k from a full disc onto a secondry hd I linked up as slave. I booted to w2k disc and error said I couldn't use that disc on this system so I aborted. Now every time I boot up I have to press F1 to continue booting. I've cleared CMOS by reverting bios to factory settings but still get this F1 message. Any ideas? TIA

Have you now disconnected the second drive from the system and removed the installation cd from the drive? In bios make sure no other drive is listed and select none for any other drive selections.

What is the f1 error?

My guess? You will need to go into the bios and disable the floppy drive if you don't have one.

I just found out that PATA means cd-rom, so I re-enabled it.
