How to tell flash drive size needed for Backup
I tried creating Backup and Recovery media.
I was able to put Recovery on a 16MB flash drive but the largest size I have, 32MB, was not big enough for Backup media. I plan to get a bigger stick but need to know how big of one I need.

The recovery media will fit on a 16 G drive. If you're trying to back up the entire system, that's another matter -- check the size of your C: drive. You'll need that much space (and would probably be better off making the recovery image on an external hard drive rather than flash media).

Flash media De trapps over time. This means after 1 year or less without power the drive becomes erased with no data on it. In a hot environment this can happen in a few hours. Thats why Hard Drives are recommended for long term storage. Cloning drive to drive is one of the most reliable methods.
