Inspiron 3050 Won't Boot Without A Monitor

I have an Inspiron 3050 which fails the BIOS video test when no monitor is connected. How do I get this system to boot without a monitor?

Scratched my head for a long time on this. Simple fix.

In bios. boot tab, disable secure boot.

Worked for me.

BIOS A05.

Instructions are on that page. Read/follow carefully. You must be logged into a Windows account with Admin privileges and be sure to all disable antiviral/antimalware software before starting the update.

Warning: Do not turn off your computer or disconnect from your power source while updating the BIOS or you may harm your computer. During the update, your computer will restart and you will briefly see a black screen.

It's a universal file format so create a DOS-bootable USB stick. Then put that BIOS file on the USB stick and boot from USB to run the update.

UEFI systems will not F12 Boot MBR or DOS unless LEGACY CSM is turned on and secure boot is turned OFF.  The other manifestation of this is that SATA DVD drives will not boot Discs when SATA OPERATION is set to ATA instead of AHCI.  The workaround for this is to have an External USB DVD drive to boot from.  This allows you to install XP in ATA mode on a system that does not support XP.

Once BIOS becomes Class 3 UEFI this too will be eliminated with 64 Bit UBUNTU or WIN8.X or WIN10.X being the ONLY os that will boot.

Windows 8 secure boot started with UEFI Class 2.31

I think RHEL 6 and RHEL 7 will also boot but other fine linux like KNOPPIX will not.  DOS and MBR is INT13 bios Booting.
