Inspiron 531 desktop doesn't recognize 2nd hard drive
I installed a second hard drive on my computer and it doesn't recognize the hard drive . I changed the BIOS settings for the hard drive and its also listed in the device manager as working properly but Its still not showing up ?

Is the hard drive recognized in the system setup [BIOS]?
For Windows to recognize the second hard drive, it must be partitioned, formatted and assigned a drive letter, using Windows Disk Management.
Go into Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Storage, Disk Management, right click new drive, select format, then you can assign a drive letter.
