Is my XPS power supply sufficient for a eVGA GF8800GT video card?
I purchased a Dell XPS in Oct 2004 and an now considering upgrading the GF6800GO video card that came installed to a eVGA GF8800GT card. The problem is I understand new high-end video cards use a lot of power. Will the power supply in my XPS be sufficient for the new card? Thanks for any info.
The stats of my XPS follow (the only change I've made is to add another gig of RAM):

what is the model of your system?
Go here to find the manuals...look for the system board layout to find out for sure

Corvus, I just installed a similar card (an ATI Radeon HD 3870). When I opened the skins, I saw that it was already wired for another disk and at least 2 more DVD/CD drives. There is more then enough power there.
good luck.
Jim
