Monitor Stuck In Safe Mode

Hello, I purchased a new monitor from Dell after receiving a new PC earlier today.. I'm getting a message saying that the monitor is going to safe mode so I'm unable to use my PC :/

I have my VGA cables and the other components (USB/HDMI etc) but I have no idea why I keep getting this error.. also I guess I should note this but my desktop isn't from Dell (it's a gaming rig from ibuypower) 

Yes I've tried pressing down on num lock key and another method of using Fn but it still doesnt work.. please help  I would greatly appreciate it :/
