Mouse

After 30 minutes, or so, computer use my mouse gets erratic. Takes several clicks to get any results. Same problem with wireless and USB mouse. New batteries in wireless no help. Reboot fixes the problem until another 30 minutes of use. Any suggestion to correct? Thanks.

Hi bobh621 ,

Welcome to the Community.

In order to resolve this issue we can try couple of steps:

Step 1:

Please create a new user account and try to use the mouse in that account.

Step 2:

We can perform msconfig to disable any third party application to rule out if that is causing the issue.

To do that please click on Start>msconfig and hit enter.

Choose Start up tab and choose Hide all Microsoft services.

Uncheck all the third party start up service and restart the system.

If the issue persist please feel free to reply or you can contact us on 18006249896 or chat with using the below web link:

Hard to give you answers or guesses unless you say what model computer and operating system. To try to solve this yourself, attach a wired mouse to check if the wireless one is failing. You should always have an extra wired mouse and kb.
